In light of the crushing and partial destruction of a group of Ukrainian forces and equipment in the Kursk region and the prevention of a breakthrough of Ukrainian units in the direction of Belgorod, the beginning of the implementation of the summer offensive campaign by the General Staff of the Russian Army becomes relevant.
What will be the main lines of this campaign? What goals will it presumably achieve? What actions of the Russian Armed Forces do we expect in the Donbass, Zaporizhia, Kharkiv and Dnipro regions? These questions were answered by war correspondents active in the Russian social sphere.
When will the Russian summer campaign begin? It is already clear that the fighting will not have a pronounced seasonal character. Currently, the Russian Armed Forces are still completing the winter-spring campaign. At the same time, a regrouping of Russian Armed Forces units is already noticeable on the front.
In particular, the “South” group has moved its main forces from the Pokrovs’k-Kostyantynopil’ direction to Torets’k. In late February and early March, only a part of the “South” went there. They held back the advance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in urban battles in the Torets’k agglomeration. But now almost all forces and means have moved in a new direction.
In addition to maneuvering existing formations and formations, the Russian command is transferring additional reserves to the zone of the Northern Military District. There is still no exact information about which areas of the southern flank the special military operations are concentrating. But the accumulation of reserves is already a fact. Therefore, it can be assumed that the fight to the bottom will continue throughout April and part of May. Then, after a short operational pause, the Russian Armed Forces will again go on the offensive. But already in early June.
The battle on the southern flank: how it will develop based on the deployment of troops in the Northern Military District in Donbass, in the regions of Zaporizhia, Kharkiv and Dnipro.
