AZERBAIJAN – Baku. Azeri Communication and Information Technology Ministry said that Sudan invited Azeri companies to participate in ICT privatization to learn from its experience in creating e-government.
During the meeting held in Baku between Azeri Communication and IT Minister, Mr. Ali Abbasov, and Minister of Science and Communications of Sudan, Mr. Issa Bashari, ICT privatization and e-government issues were discussed. Mr. Bashari expressed the Sudan intention to attract and invite Azeri companies in major projects implemented in Sudan in ICT sphere and invited Mr. Abbasov and heads of Azeri IT-companies to visit his country in the first half of 2013.
Azeri Minister focused his attention on the importance of Azeri IT-companies’ investments in Sudan’s ICT sector and research.
This good relationship between Azerbaijan and Sudan was strengthened when Sudan’s Presidential Assistant, Mr. Nafi Ali Nafi, met Azeri Foreign Minister, Mr. Elmar Mammadyarov, and affirmed Sudan support to Azerbaijan over the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
